Hello Passion Horse followers:

Sigh... today was a tough day at the ranch. We gave 5 horses up this week free to good homes. With the economy being so horrible we could not get people to pay even a small adoption fee. Being a rescue right now is tough. Hard to find grants and donations enough to feed and house the horses. All 5 horses went to great homes. We will focus now on the PMU's. We plan to train them for Spring time adoptions!
Congrats To:
Storm who will be a childs horse.
Basha who will be a childs horse and forever friend to Eclipse.
Amira who went to a grandmother and granddaughter who want a journey to train and love a horse from start to finish.
Sulton who will be in the show ring in 2 years. His new owner plans on taking him to the Grand Prix. Look out world!
Emma who is going to run barrels!!!
Also Raleigh PMU left for his forever home in Corpus Christi!
A special thanks to each of these families for adopting each of these great horses!
On a sad note Holly was diagnosed with cancer last night. Horrible. We are all very saddened by this. I want to personally thank Stu and Linda Glenn who will be taking her home to their ranch for her final days.

On January 7th we rescued a 19 year old Horse we named Gypsy. Gypsy had been loved and cherished by the same owner her whole life. But sadly her owner died this past year. Because of the love he had for her he left a trust fund for her with a trusted friend that would take care of her until she died. Decatur Sheriff's Dept seized her due to severe neglect. The dear trusted friend had drained her trust fund and left her to die. Her eye has been pieced by a thorn and she is extremely thin. Her feet are a mess and she cannot hardly chew hay. The amazing thing about Gypsy is that she already has a home once she is strong enough for the trip to California! John and Christine who live outside Sacramento are preparing for her now. She will live the rest of her life in lush green pastures in the hills. Landa one of our amazing adopters has generously donated to pay for her vet bills to help us get her strong again. The love and care that this facility provides amazes me daily. It is our Angel's heart and soul. So thanks thanks thanks to the PH volunteers who make this place what it is....
