• Passion Horse is a small "grass roots" rescue run by Debra Naismith and all of her dedicated volunteers.  We rescue many types of horses in many different situations.

Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and adopt to new loving homes.  We are different from other rescues whereas we train our horses and ready them for a productive life.  Our methods are similar to Parelli (natural horsemanship).

We do charge an adoption fee for our horses.  Passion Horse is a small ranch the is funded by our family's income.  We always need donations and are always willing to share our story with you.  Our adoption fees range in price based on the horse's capabilities.  The adoption fees allow us to fund the rescue of more horses.  All of our horses work together to help us raise the funds to keep going.  It's a team effort.  Sometimes we will adopt out horses for free.  These are typically older, lame or just hard to place.  The fees pay for feed, vet care, farrier and other important needs.  I want to stress that all adoption fees go back into rescuing more horses.  We make no profit here nor use the money for any other purposes.

When a horse comes to Passion Horse they are set on a special course to recovery.  Each horse, for the first month especially, is placed on a special diet and very spoiled.  We love each and every horse that comes to us and our efforts are tireless.  Once the horse has recovered sufficiently we place them out with the herd one at a time.  Our belief is that it is best to have a horse live as natural a life as possible.  We have them spend very little time in a stall.  They are out in pasture grazing and interacting with there new family.
