I want to tell you about a super special family. They now own three of Passion Horse equines. Now let me start by saying they are all about the spirit of the horse. They simply love them. Their Native American heritage lends them to honor the horse. They first came to us at an event in Decatur 2 years ago. We got to talking about Katzy my crazy little Arabian. He had been beaten and starved to a point he just could not completely return to sanity. He tries so hard but is just a scared boy. They wanted him!  In fact the whole family discussed it and pleaded with me that they were the right home. Well it made me cry and I knew this was the home for our special boy. Well this special family came to us not a month later, hearing about a horse we had rescued from a so-called PMU rescuer who had starved him. He was crippled. They wanted him too! They said they want horses no one else wants. I can tell you two years later these horses are fat, sassy and so very loved and cherished that I have decided to come back to this life as THEIR HORSE! Well now the final chapter. Wilson. Wilson comes from a loving home but needed a new home due to tragic family matters. This horse is 34 and has been a very special friend to this family. Who steps up but the Olsens!!! They promised the old owner that they can come visit anytime and that they will love and honor him. It does my heart good and I know and trust this family. I personally want to thank the Olsens because they want nothing but to take care of these horses!   They now have 3 super special horses that I know will be with them until they pass over the rainbow bridge.
Thanks... from the bottom of my heart                       -Deb

Success Stories

My name is Jasper. I was adopted by a wonderful family who will be using me for therapy for kids. I am a full baby Belgian rescued from a local sale barn headed to slaughter. I want to thank PH for saving me and taking me to my wonderful new family. They drove all the way from Mississippi to get me. They picked me from a picture on the website. I love my new family!

Quinn

As early as 4 years old I was bringing home stray everything and giving them homes, so it came natural to pick Healthcare as my Career. Now 27 yrs later in nursing and 2 grown girls we moved to the country with some land. Early in the spring we were @ Tractor Supply and noticed some beautiful horses tethered by a booth. It was "Passion Horse Rescue" and they were excepting donations-volunteers and adoptions. Given my animal passion and motherly nature I was drawn to the awesome web site that told of all the rescues and their family life. Soon after, I got an urgent E-mail on 8-10 horses seized by the SPCA and @ the ranch needing hay, donations/ adoptions. Well I promise you I was just going to LOOK at this donkey, and here in the pen standing apart from the other horses was this older, thin, dingy horse...Quinn. Without hesitation he walked up to me like we were old friends quietly waiting for some treats and lov'in. Golly the TRUST after his horrific suffering! He instantly took to the rubbing as I could see from his beautiful eyes glazed in pleasure...my heart was seized. I HAD to be his FOR-EVER mom. Debra was awesome! She walked me through all the steps and taught me all his needs, she even came to our house and assessed our fence and property. It was all so EASY...like having a REALLY big dog. We are looking forward to many years of spoiling Quinn and I URGE anyone to just jump in and rescue!!! It's easy and fun and most of all it will bring LOVE LOVE LOVE.
